Rachel Clear Burton
ABOUT
Rachel Clear Burton is a Film Producer, Production Manager, and Production Coordinator. She is currently working full time as an Assistant Producer at independent production company Bosena (Enys Men, A Year in a Field, Rose of Nevada), and was one of four producers selected for the BFI NETWORK South West Beyond Shorts cohort 2025, which aims to elevate emerging filmmakers to make their first feature film.
Underbelly, Rachel's debut short film as Producer, was screened at numerous international festivals and received several awards, including ‘Best Film’ and ‘Best Emerging Talent’ at the BFI Future Film Festival, as well as ‘Best Student Film’ and ‘Best Lead Performance’ at Women X Film Festival. She has since produced three additional short films, which have screened at a wide range of film festivals, and established Arvensis Films, an independent production company.
Rachel believes that filmmaking and moving image art are powerful forms of expression with the potential not only to entertain but also to educate. She advocates for ethical, environmentally friendly practices in filmmaking, both on and off screen, and strives to collaborate with creatives from diverse backgrounds to bring fresh perspectives to the stories being told.
